Meaning vs Purpose

Life is infinite, so the answer to "what is the meaning of life?" is undefined, like zero divided by zero. You cannot comprehend life because you cannot hold it in its entirety within your mind: it's always greater than you, infinitely greater, and that's why we have to accept that it's always a mystery.
Inasmuch as my life has meaning, it is how it translates into my consciousness of it, and as my consciousness is what I am, there is nothing outside of me that can validate that meaning. And as consciousness exists but in the moment, the future has no meaning either: I may have a purpose towards the future — to sustain and increase my consciousness — but in itself the future does not mean anything, or else the meaning is fallacious.
