Quora: "Could you please defend your individual vision about "god"?"
I think the universe has been around forever, and that we're therefore by far not the best thing evolution has ever come up with: something must've evolved to such a level that we humans could only call them "gods", even if they didn't create the universe.
If you mean "God" in the sense of creator, I think the only way to defend that idea is to say that God IS the universe, as that's the only way that God could've both evolved and created the universe. The only way God and the universe could be the same thing is if it's the consciousness of the universe, one that's conscious of being the universe the way we're conscious of being our brain… for that to be possible, it should be possible for consciousness to be contained in any matter, and that means that it's merely contained in our brain, and to escape from it would be what the Buddhists call enlightenment.
