Social Sharing Network

I'm looking for a place online where I could try to kickstart a sharing economy, but I'm not sure where that would be. Peerby is only for stuff, not services. They advised me to perhaps use Facebook or Twitter.
Facebook and Twitter are pretty restrictive too, though. Twitter only allows a certain number of characters, and it's hard to get a group going on Facebook without being blocked for spam. Basically, the problem is there's too much traffic on facebook already. Everyone says "just do it on Facebook" whether it's a revolution or advertisement, so the site gets cluttered and the company gets a lot of complaints about spam or otherwise low-quality or inapplicable content. To stem the flood, they just block anyone making too much advertisement, but this basically means we're stuck with the groups that are already in place. Facebook's already become too crystallized — it's not fluid enough anymore for such big innovations like sharing economies. That takes a lot of advertisement to get going, and Facebook won't allow it.
So we need a website that's more specific for this particular purpose, especially since location is an important element. Streetbank does just that, but it's not as active in the Benelux as Peerby. Still, I think it's got the best chance so far — even though it's still a very slim chance. Maybe Couchsurfing could work… I'll look into that. But Couchsurfing is also policed very recklessly because in the sector of hospitality exchange, there is a high risk of sexual harassment — they ban people as soon as a user reports a suspicion about them, no questions asked, lest they'd have a lawsuit on their hands for seeming to condone it, if the accusations turn out to be true. This would eventually stifle the community of any general sharing economy that might develop on Couchsurfing. I'm considering to use it for the interim, but I can't get too crazy: as soon as there is any kind of conflict, it's likely to be all over.
