One's Own Side

Which side people are on in a conflict has always been almost entirely determined by what group they happen to belong to. It shows that people in a conflict do not care about right or wrong at all. But the righteous do not choose sides at all, so it only says something about the kind of people that engage in conflicts in the first place. Whenever you hear their war-mongering, remember that if they were born among the enemy, they would be arguing with just as much conviction for their side. They really only care about themselves, and in truth they're on no side but their own.
