When a neurorapist has telepathically invaded someone for long enough, a model of their personality is left behind in their mind. The victim is often too incapacitated by trauma to be expected to respond to treatment, so often the therapist is commissioned to go after the invading element, often when the victim's mind is slowed down by a partial induced coma. A war of wills ensues, as the trauma conjures dreams that the therapist must help the victim to process: there is only one way to do so, and it is to absorb the psychic energy of which they consist, to accept it into one's being so fully that it dissolves into one's own upon impact. It turns an avalanche into a massage, a barrage into acupuncture.
