A possible explanation to the Fermi paradox: perhaps the speed of light really is the fastest anyone will ever figure out to travel at, and the aliens don't feel like getting separated from their loved ones, so they stay on their home world. They'd send nanorobots across the galaxies, but because there's so much delay between their world and ours, by the time they'd know what to tell their nanorobots to do to help us, it would already be too late and tens of thousands of years have passed. They could help evolution on a large scale, but once humans evolve things would go too fast for them to know what to do, without seeing it happen in real-time. Maybe we really are alone after all. But I don't think so. I can't believe in a universe with limits.
