The Liaison of Terrorism and Mass Hysteria

We should react to terror attacks like when you hear on the radio that there's been a traffic accident on the highway. No one thinks when they hear that, "gee, car accidents are a leading cause of death in the developed world, maybe I should stop driving." People die by the millions all the time, even (and especially!) from very everyday things… almost no one dies from terror, and that's why there's so much hysteria about it — but that's exactly what the terrorists want. We're giving them way too much credit. They're no different from any other serial killers, and those have always been around.
